Vancouver
Got to visit a friend of mine who is taking the Masters of Digital Media program. Went to his open house. It reminded me so much of my open house for DMT, except with game design.
Visited Aaron and Caitlin (who was busy studying for her exams the following week.) It was nice seeing them, and made me realize that moving out there would be fun.
San Francisco
After arriving in San Fran, the first thing I did was run around the city for two days with my classmate. I visited the MOMA, the Golden Gate bridge, and Coit Tower, but sadly not the Full House house
Running around the first two days was really great. I would have been disappointed if I couldn’t spare any time to see the city. My favorite spot would have to be the antique arcade museum. Spent a good couple hours in there looking at 1900-1920’s arcade games.
GDC
The convention went by fast. I booked myself solid for lectures over 3 days. Highlights included meeting Mega64 after the GDC awards, getting into some exclusive parties that had free food and alcohol, and meeting with so many cool people.
